Accessibility Information

At the Convention Center

The Tampa Convention Center is dedicated to upholding the accessibility standards established by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Below you can find important accessibility information for the facility.

General Accessibility 
The public sidewalks, surrounding the Convention Center feature curb cuts for wheelchair access. The Front Circle Drive has a ramp with rails that leads through the automatic glass doors that take you into the first level of the Convention Center. This is the Channel Entrance. There is an elevator just past the café to take you to the registration and exhibit floors. Telephones, drinking fountains and restrooms throughout the building are wheelchair accessible.

Accessible Seating
Chairs will be removed from front row seating for mobility assistive devices. The row next to the areas with removed chairs are reserved for anyone who needs to be closer to the front, whether for mobility, auditory, sight, sensory, or other needs. 

Hearing Impaired Services 
With advance notice, auxiliary hearing devices are available on a first come, first served basis. Contact meetings@geron.org to inquire.
GSA can provide a list of local American Sign Language interpreters. 
All meeting rooms and ballrooms will have standing microphones for audience questions.

Service Animals 
Service animals are authorized for use in the Tampa Convention Center. Service animals are to remain on a leash or stay within voice command of the owner. Owners are responsible for pets’ actions and cleanup/disposal of waste. TCC reserves the right to inquire of guests as to the status of any animal brought into the facility.  

Visual Impairment Services
Braille plaques are located at each meeting room entrance to assist with convention center direction. 

Restrooms
All Tampa Conference Center restrooms are ADA accessible.

GSA 2023 All Gender Restrooms
All Gender restrooms will be available at the Tampa Convention Center. An All Gender restroom will be located on the first floor of the convention center near Room #121 (across from Ballroom B) and one will be located on the fourth floor near the main elevators.

Scooter

Scooter and Wheelchair Rentals 
The Tampa Convention Center welcomes scooters and wheelchairs at the facility; however, it does not have rentals available onsite. Below are some local options to have equipment delivered to your hotel:

A national company that works with local vendors to deliver mobility equipment (wheelchars, scooters, etc.) to hotels in the Tampa area. Access their website to view equipment available and to begin the reservation process, they will then match you with local vendors to ensure your equipment is delivered when and where you need it.

Hotels 
All hotels within the GSA hotel block are ADA compliant. Be sure to request fully accessible rooms when making reservations, these are available on a first come first served basis.
